Fine arts alumni Iisa Lepistö selected for residency programme in Scotland

Artist for the Academy of Fine Arts alumni residency in Scotland 2022 have been selected. International residencies support the careers of our fine arts alumni. Residencies also create possibilities for encounters, discussion and creating networks.

Uniarts Helsinki’s Academy of Fine Arts, together with the Saastamoinen Foundation, provides international opportunities and career support for its alumni in the form of residency grants.

Ecologies in the Making: Sculpting Futures is our newest artists’ residency programme in collaboration with Cove Park and Scottish Sculpture Workshop, situated in Scotland. The residency is divided into two separate yet interconnected periods to allow for two distinct areas of development; the first two-month residency will take place at Cove Park in Argyll and Bute, and the second two-month residency at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop in Aberdeenshire.

International selection committee selected Iisa Lepistö, alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts, for the new residency programme in Scotland. Congratulations Iisa!

“I’m very much looking forward to this residency both in Cove Park and Scottish Sculpture Workshop. My artistic practice consists of research, writing and sculpting and so I see this two-part residency as a fruitful opportunity for working. “– Iisa Lepistö
