Saastamoinen Foundation’s received grant applications and annual grants have grown significantly in recent years. In 2025, the total amount of grants increased to approximately 7.3 million euros. “The growth stems from high-quality grant applications, strong initiative growth, and the positive development of the Saastamoinen Foundation’s finances,” says the foundation’s chairman, Petteri Karttunen. Saastamoinen Foundation grants funding for the development of society, science, art, and initiatives that combine science and art.
Due to the record number of applications, Saastamoinen Foundation will not take new applications in 2026. This ensures professional and fair processing of the applications received. Thank you to all of those, who have submitted grant applications.
The foundation will process all grant applications submitted by February 28, 2026, by August at the latest and contact all applicants by email. The foundation will announce the dates for grant applications and processing for 2027 in late 2026.
