Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki

Art cannot exist through inspiration alone; it requires commitment and investment in art education. Emerging talent must be nurtured if artists are to achieve international renown.

Saastamoinen Foundation supports the Academy of Fine Arts’ internationalisation programme by providing grants for residency programmes abroad to fine arts graduates and supporting the mentoring programme for MFA students. The Saastamoinen Foundation Keynote in Art lecture series brings internationally renowned artists and experts in the field to Finland annually to discuss current themes in contemporary art. The Foundation also supports an internationally unique research programme on analogue image.
