Saastamoinen Foundation – Global partner to Art and Science

We support artists and researchers on a long-term basis and promote their networks around the world. We facilitate innovative encounters and hold a dynamic art collection.

Together we strive towards a better future for next generations.

Saastamoinen Foundation is a notable supporter of art in Finland and an enabler of scientific research. We believe in transparency, internationalisation, expertise, and continuity, and these values shape the support we offer to artists, researchers, art institutions and ground-breaking scientific projects.

We are also active in other fields, and strongly support projects aimed at Finnish youth, such as the Yrityskylä societal learning environment and peace-building programme Gutsy Go.

We have long-term collaboration with the University of Eastern Finland regarding research of water, neuroscience and forest bioeconomy, and Aalto university regarding the Business of Culture programme, among others. In addition, we have a close relationship with Uniarts Helsinki, supporting their internationalisation programme and art pedagogy research in Fine Arts, as well as with EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, where the Foundation's art collection is displayed.
