Sanna Kannisto set up her studio in Hanko Bird Observatory, where she photographed ringed migrating birds as part of a study by the Finnish Museum of Natural History. Besides taking photos inside the studio, she also photographed outside at the mercy of the weather. A singular combination of the interface of art and science. “The moment spent with the bird to be photographed was a magical one.”
